Not by much though this just looks soooo wrong in SC.

    /sheds a tear for the DC/

At least getting the GC version of SCII gives you the option to knock the crap out of Link, repeatedly.

Can you imagine how awful the Ce-Link would look in this the original one is bad enough. He looks so out of place it defies belief.

Oh, stop crying you bunch of big girls. SC was always about pressing X,Y,X,Y,Y and going swish swish swish swish THWACK. That's as far as it went in terms of 'style'. If you want style, go for any recent Capcom Fighter, like the Rival Schools games or any of the Street Fighter versus games. SC is about hitting people over the head with unrealistically big swords, and it's damn good at doing that. Don't pretend it's some gothic masterpiece.

Yoshimitsu is a bit of a self absorbed slag character, he kinda turns up in most games, even when uninvited. He'll be putting out stolen videos next just to get some more attention. He's crap too, very easy to beat.

SC *was* a masterpiece of coding on the DC. Watching the extras, like the Kata rewards, was jawdropping stuff.

I dragged SC out at the weekend as a visitor made the mistake of saying 'I'll always win at fighting games and I just press any buttons'. A couple of double perfect games later I think they may have had second thoughts. Really looking forward to SC 2 - just have to figure out which version to get.

Firstly, hands up all those who are gonna get all three.

Secondly, is it worth getting a second-hand dreamcast?
  • ssuellid #12 9 years ago

I'm going to rent all three, then buy one - if they come out around the same time.

Yes its worth getting a second hand DC.
  • eviltobz #13 9 years ago

the price the things go for, its worth getting a new dc if you can still find them, round about £70 with 3 games i think i saw em last, cant provide linkage tho, sorry.

The post christmas eBay lull seems to be a good place to pick up a DC at the moment. Saw an add for new DCs in the back of Edge IIRC.
  • mal #15 9 years ago

You can still pick up new Dreamcasts in HMV Oxford Road, though that's 30 quid with no games. 70 quid with three games isn't much to shout about though - because MSR has been superceded by PGR, Virtua Fighter 3 is only really essential if you're a fan of the series (graphically, it's awful). Only JSR really stands out, if you want a bit more of a challenge that JSRF.

I don't mind this Link.. I would have prefered having Ganon in there as well!
