Blimey, these are stunningly identical to the PS2 version. :-)

I'd say that was developer laziness rather than PS2 loveliness.

I'm going now.

Not that the PS2 version was ugly to begin with, but I would've thought that after this amount of time they'd have done at least something to the visuals!

The reason to why Inner fears haven't been out here yet, was some fucked up kind of exclusive deal in J-land and Yank-ville.

The game uses a noise filter, to add noise to the graphics. Go figure, actually adding noise to the graphics, apparently is adds to the atmosphere of the game.
However, unlike the PS2 version of the game, there is an option to turn this off.

Bzzzt! Incorrect! The PS2 version also has that option! However, the developers are correct - the game is much more atmospheric with it on. I've never turned it off.

Once you beat Silent Hill 2 (On PS2) you simply enter the Options menu and press triangle twice, and there the options for the noise-filter appears. It's a excellent game anyway, but I actually prefer it off, details show a lot better.

Well if you already have the PS2 version why bother??? Well there is an additional 3 hours of play.

Just pointing out the minute differences, seeesh some people. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Did anyone else prefer silent hill 1 to silent hill 2?

I just found the puzzles to be than much better, and the enemies seemed to be more varied.
