So... it's not a Gauntlet game then.

Multiplayer hack-and-slash madness needs a top down camera otherwise you end up viciously murdering your friends as they wander about at different edges of the screen and confuse the hell out of the "intelligent" camera.

Get a grip daddio. The "kids" aren't "down" with top down views. It's too retro.

Having said that, how difficult would it be to add this as an option?

heh, I guess not, although I would have though a "proper" stripped down Gauntlet would fit nicely in the Pacman Vs/Four Swords/Bomberman range of party games.

Having watched the trailer for this, both the story and game system remind me of the D&D Heroes game that came out for Xbox a few years ago.

Which was decidedly average.
