Eeek - this looks Good! Not that I doubted the psp - but I had intended on waiting for a European PSP because none of the launch titles interested me enough... Jap/US PSP now a distincttt possibility 4me

the DS seriously needs to come down in price, anybody who sees the two ridge racers running would be mad not to pay the extra £20 for a PSP

But the DS and PSP are different pieces of kit. These are screenshots not footage. Less than half are of game footage. There pre release screenshots (ive learned ps games often look a lot less impressive on release than in previews). Theres only 2 cars on track. So we havnt seen either running, though those DS shots do look awful in comparison.

Im not knockin the PSP but its a different machine compared to the DS. Its focus is pure 3d, papmering to the gfx whores (not a bad thing necaserily). The DS' focus is on more simple graphics but with new ways to interact. Not that it isnt capable of nice 3d, those metroid vids look lovely when running even if the screenshots dont look so good.

It would be a shame if the public just looked at the 2 devices and compared screenshots and made buying desisions on that alone.

as mentioned on EGs front page. Most Impressive. Now I've to start thinking about importing from Japan!! :( PSP is still set for Spring for US right?

    hmmmmmm.

I've never been the graphix whore, but even this is tempting me to get a PSP.

Be tempted, got my PSP last week and I love it. I am not a Sony fanboy! I love my DS and my PSP!!

Ridge Racers is a great game on the PSP its well suited to a handheld. Not sure where Gamespot are getting there 90 minutes battery life. I played it solidly for 4 hours without the battery wearing out.
