my.
god.
Compared to the cube version, this looks... pretty awful. Have to say though, for a PS2, this is pretty special. Kudos to Capcom for making it look fairly good... but still. Why settle for second best?

Doesn't say so much about this game as it does about the fact that the new consoles should have waited a couple more years.

You are joking right... right?!

Are you lot really surprised that in the PlayStation edition of RE4 this has embodied itself in jaggies, the achilles heel of the console?
Or do you just post these comments to make yourself proud that you only own a GameCube? (Which is the inferior console, it just doesn't suffer that particular problem.)
I'm more worried about the borders!

Maybe for a first-gen Capcom PS2 title. But not for anything else.
[EDIT] Even the PS2 version of <a href=http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/adv enture/residentevilcodeveronica10/screenindex.html>Co de Veronica X</a> looked better (by your terms - ie jaggies).
Have you even played on a PS2?!?

Well the cube is CHEAPER than the PS2 (which is still rediculously expensive considering).. so it MUST be worse.. well in the eyes of the casual monkey.

Hmm it's all retrospective isnt it? All the fanboys have been saying the cube is shit for ages because it's cheap and is in smaller case, so therefor MUST be less powerful. These guys are just reacting to that.
Same goes for the revolution, no-one knows anything about it yet but because it's going to be cheap and small, people have already presumed it's gonna be less powerful (despite being told that graphically it will be "on par" with the other 2).
So yeah, you can understand some comments. That said, the ps2 should be more capable than this. Seems like a shoddy conversion considering how long they've had to do it.

Unfortunately, this is true, as both the N64 and Gamecube will tell you :-)
I get your point, and I'm with you. But we both should know that, for the console, quantity is more important.
