Well, it's certainly no Elder Scrolls IV.

Was Neverwinter Nights the one where all the levels were so obviously laid out on a grid or am I thinking of the first Dungeon Siege?

    A bit late ah?

Sko, you're most certainly talking about NwN :)
    Tileset based maps.

Hey! This is still D&D, and more importantly Forgotten Realms material. And remember NwN is the spiritual successor to BG2. I loved Morrowind, but im not goin lay any bets on oblivion until its realeased, im expecting it to be X-Box'd to death though :(

I got the Diamond edition and what a waste of my good money. Bloody crap of a game.

NWN is the spiritual successor to BG2?

Guess thats why it has a terrible single player component, and the only area it even approaches decent is online play with user mods?

Hey, I think it doesn't look all that bad compared to ES4. In fact, it shows a certain something that ES4 seems to lack, namely any sort of charm, personality or originality.

    Agree Nickanoru

I think it looks good. See how it is in reality

Well i bought NWN & the 2 expansion packs for £14 and i'm enjoying them so the game does have appeal, i've been looking forwards to NWN2 for a while.
    Should be good i reckon.

Both nwn and elder scrolls, to me anyway, have some pretty crappy looking baddies. I've only seen screenshots, however, so perhaps I'm wrong.
Doesn't anyone know what a fantastic creature looks like?

    I just had a foggasm.

The visuals are nice, some of the character modeling is weird though. Like that knight guy looking downwards - how small are his feet? Also, why are his knees that low? Maybe it's just the camera angle...

I hated the first game...the combat was just so....shitty..

I really hope they improve it this time around...

Graphics look nice though : )

Apparently NWM1 was really good; I lost the will to live in chapter 2 and never returned it. I suppose NWN was all really about the modules and online stuff, but the thought of playing with a bunch of smelly 40 year old virgins from Texas and swapping magic potions and pointy hats with one another was just too off-putting for me to contemplate. There were more thrilling RPGs made by enthusiasts using RPG Maker.

I wonder if number 2 in the series will be fun or just more meaningless and contrived dungeony, beardiness and busty tavern wenches type stuff. And will every single container in the game still have exactly the same number of coins and trinklets in them until you go 'up a level'? In the last game, before I perished from the tedium suffered at the hands of the game, I really enjoyed venturing six levels into a dark cavern, then clicking 500 times to bash open a stubborn chest, only to be rewarded with 5 coins, the same amount as I found in a hat in a pauper's shack back in 'Stereotypical-RPGY-Town'.

BG2 was a classy, +3 Shining Gem of a game, NWM a bog-standard toothpick. Or something.

Should be your kind of game then. ;D
