Ubisoft announced this Lunar title today, the first original release from this franchise in 10 years apparently, it's also the first fantasy RPG for the DS.

"New Battle Card system - Find different Battle Cards during your quest to alter the abilities and powers of members in your party."

I guess that's part of the card battle system mentioned earlier by The Magic Box, no? I have to say my opinion of card-based combat systems has bettered after playing Baten Kaitos, but it's still inferior compared to the traditional approaches in my opinion.

Itamae, I'd say Baten Kaitos only served to highlight that the only compelling thing about a card-based combat system in an otherwise uncompelling game is the urge to simply 'catch 'em all.' Baten Kaitos eventually made me want to die, because even catching 'em all wears off eventually, and you just don't care.
