Kingdom Hearts is very different from the usual Square stuff, so I wouldn't put it off if you didn't like the FF games. Different battle system, different worlds, different storyline, and different characters (although they do use a few characters from the older Square games).

The first game was really good, so I'm hoping this one improves on that.

it's got goofy!... and cloud?... goofy and cloud!?... hahaha

i enjoyed the first one. very dark in places. i wouldn't let my kids play it. far too scary. just like when i cried at bambi. i still don't forgive my parents

Meh.

Whilst the story/voice acting/looks of the first one was pretty good the combat was button bash central with feck all strategy to go with a camera which couldn't cope.

Presentation of this one looks equally good so...if they completely overhaul the combat mechanics it might be worth a look. :)

aparently this is to be considered as the sequal to final fantasy 7...

I have heard that they are making a dvd after the events of final fantasy 7 but it is only 80 minuites long :(

I hope midgar will be a world that we can go to in kingdom hearts 2

It would be cool if they included cloud and the gang in your party in kh2. one bad thing in kh1 was that you were only able to have the extra charaters with you only if you were around that area. so i hope square fix that. well overall kh2 is gonna kick some serious ass!

There's talking off topic and there's talking like it's a chatroom, which it isn't. It's a discussion forum, where, (shock horror!) people discuss stuff. You'll notice that this is a comments section for Kingdom Hearts 2 but you seem to think that that translates into "talk about your day", which you may argue is "off-topic" and is allowed because people talk off topic on the forum, this is just talking about nothing. Remember that EG are providing this comments section and the forum free of charge, just try and respect that and use somewhere like a chat-room or messenger for talking to your friends.

Okay I am starting to get mad...
You guys told me and SS4 that if we didn't want our posts to be deleted we should become members...so we became members, but now you guys have deleted our memberships or something? Our posts are gone in the forum....
You may argue that we are off-topic or whatever, but if you look all of our posts in the forum begin on topic (ex. starts about mest, flogging molly, etc)- we are not the only people going off-topic either- the rest of the regular members(cubbymoore, Vanquish, etc) were all off-topic with us!
You have argued that we are using this as a chat room (asking each other about our days, etc) but I think if you look back all of our questions have been off topic discussions (like about aliens and rap and crap) not how has your day been....
And by the way the section we are posting in in the forum is the non-video games section so don't say that we are misusing it....

And yes I did post this in the comeents section where it is off topic

Also yesterday when I tried to log in my username and password did not work. I had to re register (using the same username and password) to get an account again....

it seems like kh2 has a very dark tone compared to kh1, lots of evil and a very cool trailer and pictures....i think it will take a long time for any game to be as good as the kingdom hearts series. if kh2 is gonna be this good i wonder how good kh3 will be...

Back on topic, the screenies look rather nice for this style of game, but have they modified the fighting style similar to te GBA title/Lost Kingdoms on the GC? The visuals still do look a tad bit odd with the meshing of western and eastern cartonn styles.

This won't have a card-style combat like CoM. It will play like an action RPG. This will like totally be teh best game ever. The first one would have been perfect but it had some issues, and so it wasn't as good as it could have been but it was still a 9.5/10 -game

And if someone who says he knows everything about Kingdom Hearts doesn't know who the blonde kid is, really, have you even played Chains of Memories (which is, imo, a good game but KH1 is better)? I haven't played the whole game through, and still (at least I think) I know who he is.
