Why do so many of these shots look like they're taken from a dancing game? :-)

it looks really good. I thought from the beginning that games on GC will look better in some ways than the ones on Xbox, since the graphics hardware (ATI) has some functions better implemented than nVidia.

These look suspiciously like the old E3 2001 press-release pictures, i know the top right one is anyway, wonder why Rareware decided to re-issue old screenshots.

You mean "since the graphics hardware (ArtX) has some functions better implemented than nVidia". :)

Maybe to reassure people that it is still an ongoing concern. Haven't heard anything about it for aaaaaages.

To be politically correct the graphics hardware of GC is ATI... ArtX has been bought by them, isn't it?

In most contexts, yes. ArtX was bought by ATI, but the only ATI technology in the Gamecube per se is the ATI logo on the Flipper itself and the box.

If we are comparing hardware, though, I would have called it ArtX, otherwise it makes it look like a ATI vs nVidia graphics card argument ;)

Anyway, anyone seen the new preview of the Radeon 9700 (r300 core) over at Toms Hardware? Sweet.

We're all geeks here, let's be honest. The geekiest are the ones who won't admit it. A non-geek would run screaming from these boards.
