    Looking great. Let's hope they keep the accesability of GT legends, GTR 1 was a bit too hardcore for my liking.

    doesn't look so good. sorry, but xbox360 stuff looks better. Perhaps should still work a bit on the polishing? I have the impression that the pictures looks like washed-out paper scans.

    Why are they racing on ice? (3rd pic)
  • stoopidgreg #6 6 years ago

    doesn't look any different from the first GTR..
  • UncleLou #7 6 years ago

    Um, stoopidgreg, it looks a lot better than the first GTR. A lot. GT Legends already looked miles better than GTR, and this is a further step up.

    Bionutz, maybe it doen't look quite as shiny as PGR3, but then you have 40 cars on the track in GTR. Both games still don't look as real as Gran Turismo, though. :p

    thanks for proving my point

    You're a bit new to all that computer graphics stuff then. Nevermind, in a few years, you'll develop an eye for things like that if you make an effort. I know it's hard at first if you're not used to it, my non-gaming friends hardly see a difference between Doom and Doom 3.

    i just played the demo, and i wasn't impressed at all by the graphics. doesn't look next gen at all. (and i had dx9 turned on)
  • Talha #12 6 years ago

    Hey guys, this game is not about the graphics - stop complaining. Be grateful for whatever there are. Quite frankly, if you are complaining about the graphics, you are not the target audience for this game.

    @UncleLou: Couldn't agree more.
  • Talha #13 6 years ago

    By the way, I am downloading the demo right now. Is it as resource hungry as GTR1 was back in its day?
  • neuroniky #14 6 years ago

    @stoopidgreg: "doesn't look next gen at all."

    Yes, yes. Next gen games all have at least a "3" after the title. :D

    Jokes aside, GTR was the only sim I've tried that rivalled with Grand Prix Legends in realism (and in difficulty too). Maybe I'll find enough time to dedicate to this sequel to get decent at it.

    edit: oh, and welcome back Talha, I was missing you :D

    Why, thanks neuro. Somebody actually missed me.. I...I can't...

    I thought the demo looks pretty good (and yes, a lot better than GTR 1), and it runs beautifully on my PC (not any worse than GT Legends). The default lighting conditions of the demo make it look less spectacular than it could look - set the day/night shift to a higher value to get more dramatic lighting.

    And I say it again - this game has 40 cars on the track at once.

    Driving is, as expected, fantastic.
  • UncleLou #17 6 years ago

    Forgot one thing: the crash physics still suck. Let's hope they improve them in the full version.
  • Talha #18 6 years ago

    If I recall correctly, both GTR and GTL had StarForce protection. I played demos for both but thankfully passed up the full versions. Looks like I will have to pass this one too.
  • neuroniky #19 6 years ago

    @Talha - About Starforce...

    From AutoSimSport Wires: "Informed sources have revealed to AutoSimSport that Starforce has been dropped from GTR2 - both the demo version available today and the final release version scheduled September 30th. Sources reveal that 10Tacle have, instead, opted for securrom, which our source reveals as a "Sony solution"

    The future looks brighter than ever :D.
  • Talha #20 6 years ago

    @neuroniky: Wow - that's great news. I want to kiss you right now. Let's hope StarForce is wiped off the face of this planet. Yay!

    By the way, played the demo. To be honest couldn't see much difference from the original's demo, but then I am not exactly a hardcore petrolhead. Anyway this one's a keeper, given that I didn't buy GTR 1.
