It looks very smooth and crisp, pair that with the extra draw in distance and it will be running very well indeed I can't wait, 20 days to go!!

Are you genuinely suprised (which means you are little stupid), or just trolling? You choose.

Having bought Vice City when it came out on PS2 and then seen the difference on xbox, I'm glad I waited this long to pick up San Andreas. I'll just have to wait six months until I can play it...

Fact- A 6 month exlusivity period is not a year, waiting a little time for an enhanced version of one of the best games ever made is hardly a chore now is it ElephantMonkey

    Looks lovely doesn't it?
I still enjoy playing the PS2 version all these months on but may get hold of this as well.
Surely it'll play the same won't it?

/debates whether to get GTA/VC double pack at lunchtime.....
  • Lockjaw #8 7 years ago

Of course it will play the same (well semantics really, I will personally have a better time playing a more refined and optimised version), the double pack is awesome, I'm still chipping away at GTA3 LOL, the visuals are hugely improved and it's a brilliant game, I couldn't stand looking at the PS2 version for much longer after it was released, it was so blurry.

    Plus custom tracks is nice.

Thing that bugs me about the whole game on PS2 is that the Ferris wheel doesn't turn.

A lovely lil sadistic thing i discovered in Sanny is to recruit a gang member, get into a helicopter, wait for buddy to get in passenger side, get as much altitude as possible and then bail out with parachute. Your buddy does not have the luxury of a chute an falls to certain death!

Not all of those are actual Xbox shots. The ones with the jaggies are. And Gamespot are right, it looks worse in some areas.
  • Lockjaw #11 7 years ago

Gamespot said the Xbox version looked worse when running in 480..."The Xbox one has 480p support, but when enabled, the aliasing is out of control."

Lets not mix our words here, Gamespot is one of the most critical websites, I personally am not a big fan of what they have to say.

IGN has an equally in depth review and clearly states that the Xbox version looks better, but that the visual gap is not is big as between the Xbox iterations of GTA 3 and Vice city.

    Fair do's

I am more then happy with the control on the Xbox version.
