Hm. Looks just like the first one. A few more polys for the characters maybe, but seeing that DS was a game that lived on its graphics to quite an extent, I expected more from the sequel.

I quite liked the first one. Dull as ditchwater after a while though.

i seemed to spend more time sorting through my inventory and pack horses than doing anything else in this game.

Was fun for a while but got very tedious very soon

I had visions of it being like the mighty Dungeon Keeper but alas it was not to be.

I think if you're going to do an RPG that's "accessible" at least bother to put a game in there first...!

    'The Disgusting town of Eversmile...'

    I loved that game.

Yes it was rubbish..and somehow good at the same time. Despite having a practically non-existant storyline and very limited gameplay, I still found myself wading through it. It should have been Gauntlet for the 21st century. Instead it was like a day-time soap. Passive, guilty fun.

I tried playing multiplayer a couple of times with mates but it was really confusing. In principle though, a decent co-op mode over the interweb could make this a great game.

I felt pretty much the same about the original. Nice, but painfully shallow (like diving into a puddle) and multiplayer being slightly more fun.

Just had a look on GameSpy - I was bored, ok - and they have a handy "what's new" type feature:

The character generation alone sounds like they have sorted part of the problem by actually giving you significant choices as the characters develop rather than the lame "accessible" 4-attribute system.

Edit to clarify - not meaning to imply the new system sounds any less accessible...
