surely the DC, GBA and Gamecube are the only consoles Doom has featured on, one way or another?
  • rodpad #2 6 years ago

Doom has been on the GBA and not the Gamecube nor Dreamcast.

    lol

    What?

Aside from the PC, Doom has been on the SNES, N64, Saturn, PSX, Atari Jaguar, 3DO, 32X, GBA and Xbox (in the form of extras with Doom 3).

So many to choose from and you picked TWO consoles it hasn't appeared on.

    Are you high?

I think he meant "has not".

But he's wrong, as rodpad points out. It's definitely been on the GBA (legally). And I'm pretty sure someone will have tried a DC port.

Meaning it's just the GC it's not been on. Probably because it's a kiddy-console... (he says, being a proud GC owner)...

It's not been on the PS2 either. Unless you count playing the PSone version on a PS2. :-)

What is the relevance of the 'RPG' tag on the title?
  • Sko #7 6 years ago

Heh. Also note that this 'mobile' thing has thrown a bit of spanner in the EG works, as shown by clicking on the 'Mobile Gaming' in the "Eurogamer > Mobile Gaming > Doom RPG > Screenshot Gallery" link above the screenie. :)

What is the relevance of the 'RPG' tag on the title?

it's more like an rpg than a first person shooter, since it's for phones which aren't the best platform for controlling a first person shooter. i saw a video of this game, it looks like it could be alright, but don't expect the same action you get with regular doom.
