    1. The Kid (Al Weaver), Sarge (The Rock) and Destroyer (DeObia Oparei) in the corridor from Airlock to Carmack's lab. Sarge tells Destroyer to shoot Portman in the knee if he gives him trouble.

    2. Sarge (The Rock) and Destroyer (DeObia Oparei) enter a corridor with ventillation ducts overhead. Suddenly Destroyer is spooked by something in the duct and falls to the ground firing into the duct-work as he falls.

    3. The Kid (Al Weaver) emerges from the Ark into the Wormhole Chamber of Olduvai and promptly pukes in front of the rest of the squad.

looks pretty tacky... the scenery looks like obvious sets and doesn't have much atmosphere

if they do this right it could be great but I am worried

How long before Sony claims these to be PS3 shots?
  • bionutz #4 7 years ago

  • Razz #5 7 years ago

nah... look at the colour of the text, this is definitetly for the PC. ;)

wait a minute, they have flashlights mounted on the guns in the second shot? i knew the movie would be taking freedoms compared to the game, but that's too much.

the 3rd pic looks a bit like that room with all the frozen bods in it from Demolition Man.. minus the frozen chaps of course..
  • Tyronne #9 7 years ago

its got all the quality of the movie version of wing commander.

Looks like DOOM - Straight to TV.

Oh let me guess, comedy central?
  • L0cky #11 7 years ago

Hmm, I don't see any danger signs tbh. The set looks unrealistic in the second pic, but that depends on wether it's a production or post-production shot.

All sets look unrealistic until post-production, just watch those 'the making of' programs for films.

The only problem I have is that it looks like a generic blockbuster action/effects film, but even some of them are ok first time round, for entertainment value.

Anyone who thinks the original Doom plot constitutes a decent unedited film plot is either lying, or likes Jean-Claude van Damme.

OMG - it's the rock...oh wait, now it'll really be good (just like the scorpion king). Rather make me watch pulp fiction backwards...
  • BLACKSHEEP #13 7 years ago

God! don't they understand it's the hell monsters we want to see!!!!!

Oh and I do hope there's the legendary chainsaw hidden in that set :D

the rock's alright for the role i think... it's not exactly a thought provoking movie, is it? they want a muscley hard cunt to give demons the people's elbow... seems alright choice
  • Snooz #15 7 years ago

They wouldn't need a movieset if the movie was supposed to be as dark as the game. Just a dark floor, some puppets, guns and a flashlight.
