    My god, they're not even pretending it's got anything to do with volleyball anymore.

    Even still, while I don't mind characters showing off their assets (on the contrary), I still can't believe how fucking hypocritical Tecmo are from how they reacted to those nude patches. If you don't want your game to be a masturbatory aid, then don't make it into one, you retards!

    I'm sorry, but why do you regurgitate that bullshit? It just makes no sense. Sexual imagery remains sexual imagery, be it webcam pixels, pencil lines or polygons. It matters not to whatever portion of the teenage brain is dedicated to these things.

    I watched the trailer for this game and it was possibly the most cringeworthy excuse for digital perving I've ever seen. I felt embarrased just watching it - and I was alone at the time!

    Unless the Jet-Ski section turns out to be the absolute pinnacle of its genre, I wont be touching this with a 10-foot pole.

    You only felt embarrased by taking what could be shown before the watershed as sexually explicit. The truth is that the game is a holiday sim. The first one was quite entertaining, and had quite an in depth friendship simulation, and element of 'will she' - 'won't she' accept my gift was quite nerve wracking. You could play volleyball, as easily as you could get through the entire 2 weeks of the ingame time, with out even touching a volleyball. It was elements like this that made me enjoy the first game, without the hinderence of a Hi score, or saving the world for the hundredth time to worry about...

    My wife even enjoyed the first game, for all the elements i described and more. We could chose to play volleyball together or she could play on her own with it and enjoy making friends and buying hairclips with flowers on them.

    I really don't know why you and others are embarressed buy this game.. When i go on holiday with my wife, she wears bikini's, and there are plenty of other girls who do the same....Maybe some people aren't mature enough to deal with imagery like this?

    I bet you don't find real porn 'cringeworthy' - oh wait, i suppose thats a different kind of cringe ;)

    Nope, I wouldn't call any of it sexually explicit (no nudity etc etc) but it did all seem really corny. Lots of girls 'frolicking' (sp?) and 'innocently playing about'...... actually that also seemed kinda creepy, like someones ideal of the perfect woman. Seemed very Stepford wives-ish.

    Even though you say your wife enjoyed the game - I doubt she was its target audience.
    The game is clearly marketed as pure 'fanservice', something anyone farmiliar with anime will be aware of. Its basically getting as close to porn as possible without showing actual nudity or anything explicit.
    Now, I dont mind fanservice at all as long as its not constant and is backed up by a decent game (Like Beach Spikers and... uhh... regular DOA I guess) but this kinda thing is a bit much and just serves to make others look upon gaming as a hobby for sad lonely w*nkers.

    If you liked the first game, well good for you, but I just wish it wasnt designed and marketed as such a perv-fest.

    Mabye for Itagaki's next 'Holiday Sim' it should be a holiday in Blackpool - less bikini's, more dufflecoats :P

    I like the idea of this game. And it would be good I think, to be able to buy directly on Live, the enhancement to show pure pleasure nakedness (;)). After all the Xbox360 has parental controls, so kids could be prevented from seeing too much of what mother nature created :-P.

    I just wish they didn't look quite so shiny. They look like something from West World and a little bit scary being that shiny. I mean if their supposed to be covered in baby oil, at least make the sand stick to them ;-)

    Ah screenshoots of my only reason to get a Xbox 360 (and not getting my ass kicked by spending €300+).

    And yes, DoAXBV is a good game ... no pressure to "win", just play the game since there is no way to get it wrong.
