Finally they put the greatest DBZ Villan in a DBZ Game-Janemba!

Just Wondering-is this the same game as DBZ: Sparking! which was announced for Japan recently or is this one different?

    More DBZ bullshit?

Ffs, when are Goku and Vegeta gonna drop the pretense and just shag already?

I don't think they've come out of the closet yet... I think they're saving that for a future episode...

    Heh heh :D

  • Kami #7 7 years ago

Based on the strength of the last... what is it? THREE attempts? Umm... yes. You see, when you get three games which are just as brainless and stupid as the show they're based on... and for the most part, all pretty damn similar to each other...

And now we have a FOURTH DBZ game?

Don't get me wrong. Stylistically, I have to say that the games haven't done too bad on the visuals. They fit the part and it all looks right in the context of the series. But like the series... they don't 'alf drag-on (Intentional pun) a bit. My brother and nephew like the games and I have joined in the craziness a few times, but it's all so... bland. I dunno, sorry if I miss something in this show but seriously, we've got characters - aliens and alien hybrids - each with super-powers and each with moves which can pretty much decimate planets, all built like they've been on steroids since they were five years old. And it's all so stupid too - "Watch me as I do this move!" (Watch mountains and land get smashed to pieces.) "Oh, how impressive, now watch my move!" (More scenery gets obliterated) - and on and on and on and on...

The games are becoming more technical apparantly and it isn't as "staged" as it once was. I appreciate it's not meant to be Tekken, or too deep in storyline. But it's still a games series I can only take with copious handfuls of salt... I don't get it. I just don't. I've tried, I've sat down and watched episodes with my nephew (Who loves it), I've tried forgetting that they often just forget what the heck they're fighting about in the midst of just showing off what they're capable of... but whatever appeal it has is lost on me.

So I'm sorry if I'm not jumping for joy at this game. No doubt it'll be another BIG hit with the fans... but will it actually be polished enough for non-fans to sit down, play and take seriously? Hmm... I dunno, but I doubt it...
