I don't see why not, it doesn't look that much better than CoD2.

@jellyhead : I hope you realize that Sony are not making this game, Infinity Ward are. I also hope you realize that a platform is only as good as the games that devs make for it.

@Talha: Yup, realise all that and i'm sorry but this looks like a better textured xbox version. It's not exactly going to help sell the PS3 to me or convince me that the machine is worth the money.

Again, it won't be wise to rely on just one game's impression to judge a machine. There are so many variables involved, especially for a multi-platform title. Usually the lowest denominator is met (in this case, maybe the PS2) and 'next-gen' ports are worked from there, no matter what the dev likes you to believe.

Just like it won't be fair to judge XBox 360 by Far Cry Instincts or the underwhelming PD 0, or even the power of a PC by Prince of Persia 2. I think the best criteria in this regard is first party stuff.

The PS3 still has plenty of time to obtain a killer app before i'll be in a position to want to even buy one. The "Things to do in Dead Rising" thread ha sme thinking of a getting a 360, i'm sure there will be something on PS3 that will have the same effect.
    Just not this game.
I'm getting a Wii first anyway, so it's kinda moot. :/

Well Wii has a definitive reason to justify getting it at launch, its controller. In fact I never touched a Ninty console or game before, but I am getting ideas about getting the Wii. The fact that it will be cheap comparatively also helps.

XBox 360 and by the looks of it, PS3 lack that 'killer app'. In any case buying a console at launch is not a good idea.

Tell me about it, i don't think i should get a new console without making a concerted effort to complete some of my many unfinished games. :(
