I assume this game will be on next-gen consoles? Looks sweet indeed - even better if those buildings are destructable.

It's set for a fall release and will be available for PC and unspecified "consoles" according to this. For some reason they also have one screenshot in addition to those posted here (of some german soldiers about to fire a cannon directly into a wall just ahead of them).

I'm hoping they stick with the formula from the previous game instead of turning into another overly complicated tactical shooter. I know it was heavily scripted and didn't have much replay value, but it was easy to pick up and quite fun while it lasted.

I am really looking forward to CoD 2, the original CoD was simple to play - none of those fancy press X,Y, Z and flip your mouse twice to the left while touching your toes to use a tank. And thats what helps to make it good. Simplicity. Pretty graphics are good but thats just part of the package.

A little bit of scripting gives the single player guidance. Too much is restrictive. I think the developers know their stuff and will get it right.

I hope they keep the multiplayer aspect much as it is.

BF2 vs CoD2 - gonna be fun.

The graphics looks rather nice, so hopefully they can make the WWII setting interesting enough for me to play through it again.
