Looks nice, but the details on it are vague, at least what I can see anyway.

Developer Steel Monkeys are behind this one and the gameplay sounds grand theft auto esque: a 3rd Person action-adventure thrill-a-minute story, featuring car chases, shootouts and unexpected twists.

Information on their website, although I can't find anything saying which platform it's on. Judging by those shots, I wouldn't be surprised if it was next-gen. No release date either.

That looked bloody nice, if you ask me...can't wait to hear more about this game.

    A pretty ambitious first project.

Not a competition article then? :(

They should have plenty of money available for developing this - they certainly haven't spent any on decorating their offices.

Looks really nice and realistic and stuff, but with this kind of graphical prowess, why the fuck do they need to render a goddamn boring street corner? Do something interesting!

Oh but I know why, it's for all the kids who want to be street thugs but really can't because they're wimps.

Wow, how 'staged' is that photo. Natural light streaming through the window? Why aren't they all huddled in a corner, crying that "it buuurrrrnnns!"? ;)

    wow is this in-game?

Come on. There's no way these are in-game. I'll be happy if I'm proven wrong, but... please.

The words 'Getaway' and 'renders' spring to mind.

aren't steel monkeys based in middlesborough? poor bastards. nice renders, but that's all, almost guaranteed. even on the highest spec pc you'd be struggling to get those sorts of reflections. still if they do cg cutscenes they'll probably turn out nice. fingers crossed and good luck.

Actually, I'd be disappointed if the next gen would look any less than that. Because otherwise it wouldn't be worth it to me. They promised this sorta stuff to us LAST generation. Well, at least Sony did.

even on the highest spec pc you'd be struggling to get those sorts of reflections.

Well, you never know what fancy tricks or workarounds they've got down their sleeves. Besides....the new consoles are supposed to be way ahead of current day PC's anyway.

And again, I state: I wanna see something interesting done with that raw power goddammit. Not a depressing street corner.
