Squad Command PSP demo
Warhammer taster.
Those of you wondering what to make of THQ's upcoming DS and PSP Warhammer 40,000 game, Squad Command, can find out for yourselves today thanks to a demo.
Well, you can find out about the PSP version anyway. It's available on THQ's website, and puts you in control of five Space Marines and a Dreadnought as they fight to save the planet of Ruhr II from Chaos Space Marines.
The full game is due out next month (23rd November, according to most), and sees players tackling 15 single-player missions in total, along with multiplayer alternatives for those of you who like real people to suffer for your fun.

In fact the demo feels pretty lightweight - basically like a simplified version of UFO or Chaos Gate: with no stats for your units and little reason to use anything except plasma guns all the time. Hope the game proper has more depth.
