    Ooooh, so it's Xbox360 now...maybe I WON'T have to upgrade my PC.

Seriously, this could be the best game EVER!

Yeah, the links don't seem to hold up in the comments - something that's being looked at :)

The game sounds ace, but it was from the horse's mouth!

    Wtf is this.... o_O

This game seems FAR more ambitious than Black & White, and when that game failed to deliver everything that it claimed (and turned out to not be much fun to play), people were quick to attack Peter Molyneux. Will the same thing happen to Will Wright?

Looks like a tarted up version of ECO to me.

    "Will the same thing happen
    to Will Wright?"

If he doesn't deliver, Damn right!!

if you haven't already seen the video (available at the URL above) then watch it immediately! it's the damn most impressive demonstration of a game i've seen in a long time, if you can 'bear' will right talking about care bears for 5 minutes

It's a really interesting concept and the screenies look lovely. Can they make a decent game out of it, though? I shall watch with interest...
  • Xerx3s #10 7 years ago

There is no way that this could be made into a playable concept. Remember the 'great' B&W concept? In the end it turned out to be a waterd down version, just because the real game wasnt fun to play.

Tarted up version of evo - search for eden? - I hope so - that game was the most monotonous piece of junk ever! Nice idea - terribly implemented... i hope these dudes get it right..

Somehow this one seems very, very disturbing.

    >maybe I WON'T have to upgrade my PC.

If you have to upgrade your pc to play it, then spore wilkl be in trouble. The reason for simcity/sims popularity is that it works on shite pcs.

Cant see EA allowing this out neeeding an upgrade.

And the shots dont look like they're pushing power of owt either... Even if it IS all procedural

"Cant see EA allowing this out"
  • smelly #16 4 years ago

    Come now...

I actually thought the sims looked like a bag of shit which couldnt possibly live up to expectations.. until i played it..

.. then after a few days of play proved myself right...

    But millions of people disagree

"Seriously, this could be the best game EVER!"

Seriously, as if. Won't live up to be anything like the hype, they never do.

I wish, since EG now insist on making "new screenshots!" news stories as well as having a "Latest Screenshots" section, that they'd seperate the ancient galleries from these new ones. If something new's worth touting, it's worth touting it on its own. Not muddled up amongst all the pre-alpha bumph.
When I click on a link that says "Latest Spore PC screenshots", I want to be taken to a page that has that. Not that, plus every screenshot from the past 20 years of game development.
