Spore out in time for "holidays"
It's jolly important, says bossman.
Electronic Arts has revealed it plans to launch evolution sim Spore by the end of the year.
CEO John Riccitiello told a conference call, "We are not announcing dates for any of our titles."
However, referring to Spore he said, "We will tell you it's got to be before the holidays.
"This is one of the titles we pay enormous attention to for all the obvious reasons and we are very, very bullish."
Now then, King John didn't make any mention of "Europe" there. And he said "holidays" rather than "Christmas", so could be we'll have to wait until next year.
Spore, you may recall, is the latest project from Sims creator Will Wright. It's in development for PC, and unofficially but rather obviously the Wii too.
There's a veritable plethora of videos, some screenshots and a preview by some bint over on the gamepage, so why not take a look?

As this is a PC game, I doubt it. And if, we can still import.

I'm quickly losing interest in this - it's taking an age to get here.

Folk will be far too jaded to actually enjoy it once it gets a release. If it gets a release.

Saladin is right, they should have kept it quiet until perhaps the end of last year.

Spore is clearly being treated by EA as a Sims like property, so the vast majority of potential customers still know very little about it.
