Splinter Cell Conviction coming in April
Not delayed for too long, then.
Delayed sneak-'em-up Splinter Cell Conviction has reappeared on the radar with an April 2010 date.
The PC and Xbox 360 game was delayed from a pin-pointed 26th February date earlier this month, with publisher Ubisoft citing "a bit more polish" as the reason for the move.
Conviction follows Sam Fisher on a journey of revenge - a fire he fuels by smashing people's heads into crusted urinals on his hunt for information.

More games in February so this is good. It wont be crap. Trust me.

Haven't really got the patience for stealth games myself, but love games with a tactical edge to them, this Splinter Cell should fit the bill nicely. Shame it's an exclusive, would much rather play it on the PS3 than the PC but at least it is coming to PC I guess so I'll at least get to try it out.

Then this should do you nicely because I have yet to see any of the stealth features show up in screenshots and videos, and in past interviews they've all but admitted that they removed the stealth.

Sure their vids have been promoting the new features, but to say none of the vids show any element of stealth is utter bullshit. Of course, if you don't like like what you see, don't buy it.

According to interviews, they 'toned down' the stealth to open up the series to new players. As far as I can tell from the material released so far, 'toned down' means 'removed'. I'd love to see where in the videos there's any sense of stealth. I have yet to see a video in which Sam is not smashing faces through mirrors, dropping huge containers on people or just plain shooting them.
Of course, if you don't like like what you see, don't buy it.
I won't. I'm just telling Murton that if he doesn't like stealth, he might enjoy this.
