One month before full release.

Ubisoft plans to release a Splinter Cell: Conviction demo early in the New Year.

Hiphopgamer (via VG247) confirmed a January release but stopped short of unearthing a date.

Splinter Cell: Conviction follows a rampant Sam Fisher on a journey of revenge, as he seeks out his daughter's killers. He'll be smashing people's faces into urinals and sneaking around pulling fancy spy manoeuvres, albeit without his familiar briefcase of gadgets.

Splinter Cell: Conviction is being developed for PC and Xbox 360 and is due out here on 26th February.

If the delays were for polishing and optimizing, it'd be fine, but too often we see half-arsed console ports that are quite obviously still tailored for the console kiddies.

I hope its the stuff they showed at E3, that would make a good demo (hell it was anyway) but it would be a nice intro to the game and the had it ending in prefect 'my god I need to know what happed' cliff hanger fashion.
