Special edition GRID due next week

Comes complete with DLC for 25 quid.

Codemasters is releasing a special edition version of tip-top racer GRID for the PS3.

Race Driver: GRID Reloaded will come bundled with two codes so you can download the Prestige and 8-ball content packs. These add 18 new cars, extra multiplayer modes and a new circuit to the game.

The 8-ball pack is already available. The Prestige pack will be available separately from 11th March on PSN, priced at £7.99. Or you can pick up the Reloaded special edition for £24.99 from 12th March.

An Xbox 360 version of the Reloaded edition is also in the works, but it will only include a code for the 8-ball pack. There's no word on a price or date just yet.

Sweet, I hear the McLaren F1 is awesome!
  • D_arkTrooper #2 2 years ago

Would be nice if they patched the PS3 version so it supports trophies.
  • wizlon #3 2 years ago

I completely forgot I have this... great game too

Isn't the McLaren F1 in the 8 Ball Pack which is already out?

    Also they aren't adding Trophies

Additionally at 7.99 the Prestige pack is a complete fooking rip off

Lastly, everyone drives the Lacetti anyways

What about chuffing PC you tarts!?

Bloody good game, but same ol' same ol' after completing it twice.
  • mish666uk #7 2 years ago

Please patch the game to support trophies while you're at it!

Loved the game but I hate drift challenges for the simple reason that I suck at them. I hated them in PGR as well. Kind of gave up on completing Grid World mode because I eventually had the choice out of 4 drift challenges and I couldn't complete any of them. I know, I suck.
  • Trigga_Tybalt #9 2 years ago

    Does this also add Trophies?
  • Mkwone #10 2 years ago

seems out of the blue, i'd of presumed they stopped working on this game by now due to the age.

    @ Eraser

Drifiting is nonsense. It's the antihthesis of driving, which is why I didn't buy this game the first time round...although with all this extra stuff for £25 I may well pick it up. And i gnore the drifting completely.

And from a British company who aren't affected by poor exchange rates too. Shame on you CM.

Seems that there's really only Gearbox/Take2 left that offer the PSN good DLC without tagging on a 20% or high price hike.

P.S. adding the Bathhurst Mount Panorama track and no V8 cars is like having apple pie without the cream

This DLC is for custard lovers
  • bongofury #14 2 years ago

Why didn't they just add the xtra content onto the Blu ray? rather than give you a code to download it? I'd imagine there is enough space on there!
  • PapaSmurf630 #15 2 years ago

Love this game. Drifting is great fun once you get the knack of it.
  • Flying_Pig #16 2 years ago

Strange to bring this out now, but loved the game, and completed it.

Trophy Support would be awesome, although I hope it would take account of what I've already done, rather than me having o start from scratch...
  • TeaFiend #17 2 years ago

    @bongofury:
Because it would then be viewed as a different game and need to pay all of those fees. It would not be simply Grid 1.5.

Prestige Pack is apparently on PSN today (£7.99 though). I wonder what's included?

    Edit:
The Prestige Pack includes the Australian Bathurst circuit and ten new cars:

    Ferrari F430
    Bugatti Veyron
    Ferrari F550 Maranello
    Mercedes McLaren SLR 722
    Lotus 2-Eleven
    Lamborghini Gallardo GT
    Mazda Furai
    Jaguar XKR GT3
    Honda Integra Type-R (DC5)
    Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4

meh, concentrate on getting the HD F1 game out the door pls!
  • Stepharneo #20 2 years ago

considering I picked this up on Steam on that insane £3 deal all of this DLC seems painfully over priced, but then the game was ridiculously cheap....still no mention of pc DLC means that whatever it costs I still won't be buying. Bugger.
  • Darren #21 2 years ago

@Boomerang - I would assume that this DLC is also coming to the PC as GRID was patched to v1.3 a few months back and one of the in-game options now shows Additional Content not to mention the game checks for it when it first loads up to the main menu. As far as I'm aware there has been no previous DLC released for the PC version so I'd assume it was patched for this new stuff?

Why is The Prestige pack exclusive to PS3, not even 360 is getting it!?!?
  • Bru-Man #23 2 years ago

    | Why is The Prestige pack exclusive to PS3, not even 360 is getting it!?!?

Because they hate you. And I don't mean '360 owners', I mean *you* personally. It was that thing you did when you were on holiday two years ago. Remember? Codemasters do.
  • fknetwork #24 2 years ago

    @ Bru-Man
    Cries :(

P.S, that thing with the broom?
