    ... I'm struggling to find anything I dislike about these screenshots. Oh, yeah, just found it. Voldo is back... ugh. I swear they have some demented S&M freak locked away for the sole purpose of designing that madman...

    But otherwise it's all good. Does anyone know if they will still have the character creation mode? Fighting as a Jedi / Link / Indiana Jones was awesome.

    I think Raphael will always look a BIT camp (Alucard also looks a bit gay, let's be honest. Oh yes, I WENT THERE!), but here he looks a bit more gothic with less of the heavy make-up he seemed to have last time.

    Looks lovely though, and the new girl just looks awesome. Can't wait.

    Its all about Mitsurugi though. The rest of them can jazz right off. Also, get rid of Maxi and put Li Long back in. He was much better.

    Raphael always bothers me because he looks like a pantomime villain who went mad in a lace shop. It's not gay. It's just silly.

    And he's thoroughly unsatisfying to play with too.

    I think it's just the cliché look for male vampires. They just... always look a bit wussy, is all. That is in no way implying that vampires are gay though (other than Spike). I guess it's just an unavoidable fact that male vampires look too breakable whilst female vampires must by rule of thumb be super-hot sex-kitten killing machines.

    My point was that this time, Raphael looks a bit LESS camp, not so much of the bright colours. A little more subdued, a little more drawn, and less of the make-up look. It's more tolerable.

    ... unlike Voldo, who seems to go from super-gay in the last game to raging homosexual in this...

    * note; I have no problems with homosexuality or gay people, please don't take me too seriously.

    1. Does it REALLY matter?
    2. Would you prefer the game running at 720p at 60fps? or 1080 at 30fps?
    3. Actually it's probably going to be more like 30fps or 15fps.

    Jesus some of these artists really need to grow up with their female character designs. The flesh on show in some of these games recently has just been embarrasing. Its a game that would be great to play with your mates except you are embarrased the pornographic overtones are gonna offend the ladies.

    More gay. I really urge the SC team to send whomever does Voldo's costume design off for psychiatric evaluation. Really, this is not normal - it borders on the precipice of something dark and rather nasty.

    For real, get them checked out. That Voldo looks even more vulgar in these screenshots from his past outings shouldn't even be theoretically possible! It's wrong on levels that shouldn't exist!

    I agree that Li Long was far cooler than Maxi. But he's dead, and Maxi's here to stay, and I don't really mind him.

    Also, with every other female character so ridiculously oversexualised, why is Seong Mina looking so demure? No cleavage, just a flash of leg?

    Some of these shots are super-awesome...good to see some of the characters I hadn't seen the SC4 designs for yet, too, like Astaroth, Kilik, Seung Mina and Somewhat Gay-Looking Piratey Character Who I Can't Seem To Identify.

    I know what people mean about the increasingly prurient costume designs and proportions, though. The likes of Ivy and Voldo were always supposed to be fairly slutty/gimpy, so I can accept those ones, but Xianghua's barely-an-outfit seems a bit out of character, as does Cassandra's now near-constant state of pants-flashing. I'm most annoyed, though, about Sophitia's pneumatic overhaul, because she's my best character, and people are now just going to assume that I'm picking her because I'm a perv, and that's the last thing I need with my indecent exposure trial coming up.

    Looks nice, but they've sold out this time and put Jedi in. They're also making a lame generic 3rd Wii game with gratuitous arm waving. Last time the they sold out and made it PS2 exclusive and also made it shit.
    The SC franchise is dead.
    I'm going back to SC2 on cube, I'm a twat and only like things when they aren't fashionable.

    I guess I'm the only one who actually pissed himself when using the Character voice thingy on Soul Calibur 2, y'know where they'd just stand there and you could play all of their soundbites. Man the fucking fun I had with Kilik's and Cervantes' is out of this world.

    I don't see the problem with exposure - it's not like all girls are fighting in microbikinis or anything similar. The new female character fights in an armour, hardly any white bits on show. Moreover, this is fantasy - with better graphics titillation becomes more realistic but also do the ripple of muscles in the well defined, sweat covered naked torsos of male fighters. What is your point, really? Most male characters in this game are muscle powerhouses of perfect proportions with babyfaces and exquisitely arranged hair. They are objects of beauty and attraction as much as females are, so let's not player hate on boobs, shall we?

    Another sequel? The first two were great, although I've never played 3 or 4. I know little of the series beyond the excellent first two, but let's just hope the quantity of the games can match the quality like Tekken.

    Oh, right, I do remember that now. I think my mind is subconsciously suppressing all details of SC4 character announcements in a desperate attempt to stay positive about this game.

    Nevertheless, the girl with the red curls and the rapier is very definitely Amy from SC3.

    Razz, Lizardman must be some sort of a chameleon type lizard, so that he can fight in a "home" and "away" strip, as all fight characters do. He always did that in other versions, anyway, one fight he was red, then he was green...Used to love his godzillaesque winning pose, with the tongue sticking out right at the end.

    Vader seems a bit over-lit and washed-out grey looking in most of those shots. I guess in Star Wars you never saw him outside in the sunshine so he always looked a good menacing black colour.

    I read a review that said that the control system was completely overhauled and it was no longer possible to button mash.

    Look, I want real physics in fighting games as much as the next guy but while waiting for that this will do.
