Sony update on pulled PSN titles

Direct customer contact soon.

Sony has now withdrawn Spyro 2 and Crash Bandicoot 2 from the PlayStation Network - having already yanked MediEvil - and says it will be "communicating directly" with people who bought the games "within the next 10 days".

"We are currently investigating the reports of issues associated with MediEvil and Spyro 2. This investigation is highly technical and requires some time to work through," a statement added to the forum thread discussing the issue on PlayStation.com says.

"We are making progress and we will be communicating with people who bought these items directly within the next 10 days. For Crash Bandicoot 2 the situation is more clear as its removal was purely precautionary. We are optimistic that the title will be back in the store shortly."

So far, most who bought the games (including us) have received no direct contact, leading to accusations of sloppy customer care. Indeed, while Sony says "Thank you for your patience", the mass of people further along in the thread asking why they can't have a refund would suggest that whatever patience there was is by now wearing thin.
