Interesting, I wonder if well known American hippy feminist Goddess botherer Starhawk will be able to get them for diluting her brand....

About time, there's a distinct lack of space combat games this gen.

Personally I'd rather Sony spent the money giving their Colony Wars series a proper current gen makeover, but I suppose any space shooter on the PS3 is better than none at all.

Now this is a game I can get 100% behind. No idea how it would work in space as it was as much the ground battles as the seat of the pants canyon flying that made it so much fun. Space is kind of big and mostly empty so doesn't leave much room for running and gunning. Hmmmmmm

Yeah, we really needed a Space/War game this Gen. Shame, the quirky retro-war feel of Warhawk is something that made it stand out, if only a bit.

I guess Marvel never bothered trademarking their character of the same name then.

Warhawk is one of the best games I've played this gen, very well balanced, fun, multiplayer action.

So high hopes for Starhawk from me :^D.

There was a Starhawk arcade game back in '77, that got ported to the Vectrex console five years later: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Hawk

I wonder if Cinematronics never trademarked the name or if it just expired.

But the PS3 did get BF:BC right? Are you saying that Warhawk is better than that?

If so I may have to move my PS3 plans forward a few months...

My guess is that there will be lots of installations/starships on which you have to land and take over, and so on, meaning ground battles will still be prevalent, if not quite as central.

Looking forward to this, even though I never played Warhawk beyond the trial. This time Sony, please include a single-player mode with at least two player co-op. Hopefully this will be a success and they will commission a new Colony Wars and G-Police 3.

+1,000,000 for new colony wars (and G-Police)

I can't say I saw the appeal of Warhawk, thought it was a bit rubbish myself. OK but didn't really hold me. Still like everyone says give me SPACE SHOOTERS I'm up for it!
