Sony prices Killzone 2 DLC News

PlayStation 3 News by Robert Purchese

22 April, 2009

The Steel & Titanium map pack for Killzone 2 will cost USD 5.99, according to the the US PlayStation blog.

There's no word of a European-specific cost, but a conversion suggests it won't be more than a fiver. We hope. We're checking.

The Steel & Titanium DLC, which contains two brand new maps, will be released next Thursday, 30th April.

Pop over to the PlayStation US blog for a new trailer featuring the Wasteland Bullet and Vekta Cruiser maps.

I thought it was already announced that it would cost £3.99.

@chessboxer,

That'd make it cheaper than the US version, so I doubt that'll be the case.

Rip off, wont be purchasing. 2 maps should be free to make up for the 8 maps shipped with the game.

Yes, it's clearly a rip off at about the same price as a packet of health-draining fags or a McMeal.
Even though you'll get hours of fat/smoke free entertainment from the purchase by comparison.

Some people have no perspective.

It's a disgrace that it didn't ship with at least 20 maps and that people want to be paid to produce extra content.

Oh wait, no it isn't. If you handed out £10 notes with it some people would still find something to piss and moan about.

Just because someone else made some content for free, doesnt mean that everyone else should (though in some cases i think some of the DLC shouldnt be sold and isnt worth it...).. but if people are prepare to pay then they have been proven correct.

Me personally i wont be buying this as i dont feel its worth money.

The publishers dont care if you like it or not. As long as they make at least 1p in profit they will keep doing this.

You have a choice but its a painful one. Buy and be ripped off, dont buy and miss out

The 8 maps that came with Killzone are some the best i've ever played. Finely balanced for each mode of play. Particularly Radec Academy which is just chaos in the best possible way.

At least they haven't just ported over all the maps from Killzone and then charged for those.

I agree though that the CoD4 maps were shite.

rhinoxious, +1.

Completed the game then swiftly traded it in for LBP. Being someone who primarily plays fps' on the PC I've found the only game which has really nailed aiming on a console is Halo.
