Sony platforms dominate Japan chart
And Warriors Orochi Z ends Resi 5 reign.
Sony platforms take the winners rose in Japan this week as PSP outsells DS and PS3 performs better than Wii.
Games for the Sony machines also bossed the top ten: PS3 and PSP combined three placements each to fill six of the spaces, leaving room for just three DS entries and one Wii title.
PS3 game Warriors Orochi Z debuts at the top of the software chart this week, knocking Resident Evil 5 on PS3 - last week's leader - to two. The Xbox 360 version of Resident Evil 5 lingers at 13.
Other new entries this week include New Control Play! Pikmin 2 for Wii, which arrives at six, and acclaimed first-party PSP game Resistance: Retribution at 10.
In total, DS counts 22 top 50 titles, Wii has nine, PSP claims six, PS2 and PS3 notch up five, and Xbox 360 tails with three.

That's a great top 10 though, I wouldn't mind playing any of them.

Fantastic sales for Sony all round. Almost double the sales of the wii two weeks running.
So it really is about the games after all. Who would have thunk it?
I thought the White Knight or whatever it's called would still be in the list tho.

I hope they are realising though that they need more Japan-centric games. Stuff like inFamous and Killzone 2 just won't appeal to them; and it doesn't seem as though they have that many big in-house Japanese projects in development just yet (at least, that they've announced).
Time for The Legend of Dragoon 2?!

We need Koei to buy out our pastures. They'll fix the milk shortage.

Gotta respect the Japanese, at least they know an unreliable, piece of shit cruddy console when they see one.

I can appreciate people wanting to stand up for their platform of choice, but you have to accept that sometimes a win "for the other side" is a good thing.
Sony fans in particular should appreciate MS contributions in the online space. PSN would not be improving at the rate it has done without a rival platform setting the bar so high.
