Have this purchased so I don't want to ruin the (bad?) suprise by playing the demo!

Just used the handy-dandy download page on xbox.com and it seems pretty easy to use. Of course, my 360 isn't turned on when I'm at work but at least I can just put the power on when I get home and play the demo later without actually turning on the TV and finding it on the Marketplace.

lol The Demo isn't that big, and I didn't think it was that bad either, liked the music, the speed is incredible, and RB, LB side step looks pretty slick when you're racing at 987mph lol at least I think that was the highest I got at one point.
Thought it was funny how it was completley devoid of a werehog section.

from what i played it wasnt all bad, the switch from behind to a side view is slick enough and the QTE are actually useful but they could have atleast given us another level instead of just one

Yeah, based on the review, I was very surprised how 'not bad' it was... it was quite fun actually. They should still have kept it side on and done a Street Fight IV on it, but yeah, it really was alright. As Slipstream says, the lack of Werehog does raise suspicions.

I thought the demo was awful, personally. The head-on bits control diabolically, and the side-on bits are too much like Sonic Rush, which is to say you just hold right and tap the boost button every now and then. If that's the good part of the game, I really don't ever want to experience the bad.

I know the reviews have been rubbish but i've rather enjoyed this game including the werehog bits. I'm more inclined to give this game a 7/10 rather than the 4/10 EG gave it.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles is an excellent game 8-9/10 even today.

This is complete bollocks.

fter playing the Demo a few times it has grown on me somewhat. Really enjoy the sense of speed and the RB and LB dodging SAVE the 3rd person sections. Like with Sonic sections of some of the better 3D sonic ganes, it's about learning the levels and finding effective routes, just with alot less interruptions, looks and feels great. Of course, I say less interruptions but err, those parts are saved for the Werehog sections I believe, really not nterested in that.

Sonic Rush vertigo ftw!

Just had 3 play throughs of the demo. The 3D bits are abit wank, with sonic spending half the time running against the walls, but at least now it doesn't slow you down. That only seems to be a problem in confined spaces though. The LB-RB action is pretty slick, and the slower 3D parts are actually ok.

The 2D parts play more like Sonic Rush. No where near as good as old skool 2D Sonic.

Overall, I'd say it was ok. It does take a bit of practice. For Gods sake, don't condemm the demo on your first playthrough. It feels shit the first time round because you haven't played it before. It's not rocket science people.
