Since when did Sonic have an old school adventure on the PSP I don't remember this.

@Steroyd.

That's because it was PISS poor, yet received strangely lenient reviews..

A 2D Sonic can't be piss poor, definately not compared to the 3D offerings.

an old school adventure ?

it's a simple racing game, isn't it ?

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 had this as a mini game, and now SEGA feel a sequel to a PSP version of it is justified ? hah.

fair enough, but the content added is little more than i consider downloadable content.

a sequel doesn't seem necessary.

To me, it will convince me if the sequel DOES have enough content.

exactly, and i don't think it DOES, at least not to justify a sequel.

Well, I hope so.
For starters, the "free mode" should have been there in the first one. If it has something like ten zones instead of six, it will certainly appeal to me enough.

That and making Tails pay for all those times he got me killed in Sonic 2 ;)

hah, i'm with you on the Tails thing.

i'm just a bitter SEGA zealot, i used to expect so much more from them.

Why can't they just make a lovely widescreen 2D Sonic on the PSP? I hate this pseudo-3D, Pandemonium crap.

I like it, actually. The gameplay is exactly the same as any 2D Sonic, but when you get to those loops and such, it gets a bit more cinematic.

i'd rather a decent 3D Sonic, there have already been a few good 2D ones now.

i loved Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast, i know the "RPG elements" weren't to everyones taste, but the individual levels were great.

2.5D Sonic = win.

So lets remove the racing element and keep to what Sonic is good at. Being a 2D platform game.

Tails wasn't so bad. It was after that there Knuckles arrived that everything went tits-up.

Wow. It's like all the previous utterly rubbish sonic games never happened! A true return to the original popular form! With card.. trading... hang on. More characters? Card trading? PSP background images? Wait just a minute, this is just another 'new & bollocks' Sonic game isn't it?

You just can't resist dragging that poor hedgehog out of the tranquility of a well-earned retirement and the fulfillment of earning the status as one of the most beloved characters in gaming history, can you? No, you have to drag him kicking & screaming, naked and beaten into the town square to be flogged senseless at the hands of a new generation of gamers who regard him with disdain for his bollocks controls, sickening art direction, ridiculous plots, new inane 'friends' to share his increasingly benign and tedious adventures.

Card trading, you say there SEGA? I am but one of a million or so twenty-somethings who, having seen our beloved mascot reduced to a laughing stock in recent years, would gladly insert all 150 into your super-special golden ring.

i really enojoyed Sonic Rivals, was to me the best Sonic game in over a decade... and i am a huge fan of Nights Into Dreams(saturn) and Pandemonium (psone) so Sonic Rivals was like a much awaited thing for me...sadly the game was over too fast and at times it felt too easy or too annoying.

Anyway it got reviews from as low as 01 out of 10 to 09 out of 10 (atleast them which i saw in normal games magazines).

Looking forward to the sequel and that card trading part which was in the first game..certainly aint welcome in the sequel, IMO ... never used it and never will.

Looking forward to the gameshare which is announced though :)
