Visuals look decent-enough. The game would definitely be a must-buy for me if I had a Ds.

It's ironic to think that this RPG from Bio-Ware will probably run better than Mass Effect even though it's on a handheld. That's unless they've mastered the art of texture-build and tearing on that format too...

They're a little stretched in our gallery browser space-age technology thing. I think it looks quite nice. But I have a soft spot for BioWare and follow them around in an unmarked car.

Perhaps the most un-bioware game that bioware have ever done.

Hope it's good :)

It certainly looks good. If only the Sonic characters weren't so hateful.

A very pretty looking game, indeed! This is looking to be a potentially significant shot in the arm for the series...it's also a pretty canny move from Bioware, showcasing their talents to a much wider audience. As a non-Xbox owner, I've been curious to try their style of games; if this turns out well, I'll be able to do so. Very much looking forward to it...

Could there ever be a more mismatched subtitle for a Sonic game? "Sonic and the Amulet of Dragonsbane", maybe.

Actually, I guess it pretty aptly describes the marriage of styles that's happening: The Happy-Pretend-Land Blue-Skies of Sega and the fantasy nerdery of a Bioware RPG.

It looks decent enough, but I just can't muster any enthusiasm for this.

That's not irony, Alanis.

Looks pretty funky. I love the painted backgrounds - reminds me of the golden age of graphic adventures, like Monkey 2.

Gah, they should make one based on the old 'Sonic the Comic' storylines (yes, go on, point and laugh).

It was genuinely good RPG material: Started off just as Sonic fighting vs robots made by Robotnik, who then found Tails and went to on the Floating Island and teamed up with Knuckles after finding out the Dr. had tricked them both. Then there's Amy (complete with crossbow) and later the squirrel in indestructable armour (whos name escapes me). Other main enemies included Brutus (robot solider), Metalix (seen briefly in Sonic 2) and Super-Sonic (a Sephiroth-esque psycopath).

Oh, to be eight again....

It does look awesome. As long as the team is customisable enough to get rid of all the shit characters.

i.e, most of them.

I do like Sonic, but Sega have killed that blue guy for me. Now talk to me about KOTOR 3 and I'm interested,

Yeah, they should never have turned him into a mario style franchise. I was looking at the pics feeling strangely unmoved despite the involvement of sonic AND bioware, and I think you might have hit on why. I will continue to follow this with mild interest though.

No doubt Bioware will re-ignite my faith in Sonic, if only for a short while. But I agree, the Sonic universe was so much better when everyone kept their traps shut.

I hope the game is funny and full of self mockery otherwise i think it could be carp. Just can't see this as a 'serious' rpg working...
