SOCOM Confrontation gets Euro date Comments by Ellie Gibson

I've never played a SOCOM game... maybe I should try. I wasn't a big fan of Warhawk though.

And what are the bets that it still doesn't run properly......

If under £20 and it doesnt ship with a boat load of bugs I will buy it for old times sake.

I hope it has vastly improved over the beta which was painful (and it came out at the same time as Killzone 2 beta #2 and Resistance 2 closed beta ) otherwise it's getting eBayed.

I love the gameplay, but I often refrain from playing just because I can't stand the tedious work that is using the games server browser.

And oh, I commend them for going up against Killzone 2. Pure bravery, that is.

I was on the EU beta for the first SOCOM. I faithfully bought (near enough) ever variation released. I even bought an NTSC PS2 so I could play S3 against the US months ahead of it's release in the EU.

But, it ends here. No more.
You are getting no more money from me for your flawed games, and your lengthy delays at shipping to the EU.

I used to love it. SOCOM 2 was a real gaming highlight of the PS2 era for me. Then SOCOM 3 went all Battlefield and Combined Assault continued in the wrong direction.

Even so, I still played them and I've persevered with the series despite the appalling bugs - completing both PSP games along the way. But, right now I just feel like playing a game that's finished for a change. Not an open beta or something I have to take a gamble on in the hopes there's a miraculous patch.

mmm with the launch of Killzone 2 it makes me wonder if its even worth releasing this title!

SCEE really need to start pulling their fingers out and stop delaying titles as much as they do.

Screw Socom Confrontation

There are lot of reasons why i dont even gonne buy this crappy game. And only the Die hard Socom Players can related to this. If you compare Socom 1, 2, 3 & CA with Confrontation then you see its crap.

1. Switching sides during the map
WTF is that about, On all the previous games you played as a SEAL or TERROR , NOT BOTH

2. Even number rounds.
Again WTF. Whats wrong with Best of UNEVEN. Then you have clearly a WINNER in stead of the "stats based winner" when you have 5-5 in rounds and one team wins by extracting 1 more HOSTAGE.

3. Password protected rooms whats that
And no password protected rooms, so cool you play a clan match and all of a sudden a idiot comes in and TK's your whole team loggs out the room b4 he can be voted , comes back and does the same.

4. Game Play
This is rubbish aswell. The SIXAS who used this crap anyway. Whats wrong with using the D-Pad for Leaning to the left or right.
Over the shoulder vieuw WTF. Socom always has been a Third Person Shooter. Now it looks more like G.R.A.W.
