Skate now available as Game on Demand

Download direct from Live for 20 quid.

A new addition has appeared in the Xbox Live Games on Demand store.

You can now download Tony Hawk feather-ruffler Skate for £19.99. It's an oldie, but a goodie - Skate scored 9/10 when we reviewed it back in September 2007.

Games on Demand is a good service, but the pricing is so ridiculous... I can't justify to buy at that high price old games... They should make the prices half of it.

    That's daft pricing.

2 years is an old game now?

Anyway I was about to have a go at the pricing, until I noticed that the cheapest you can find it new online is £15 for The Hut.

Two years IS an old game and £20 IS expensive when the sequel has been out for a while and is £15 at Amazon (or £12.99 at Tesco Home last week) and the second sequel is due out soon...

We all know it is cheaper to buy in shops. GOD is not meant as a retail replacement, only as an alternative service. If they undercut retailers then retailers may stop stocking consoles.

GOD has the beauty that you can buy the game without going into that scary outside world or even leaving your couch.

sony will continue to lose money on psp games on the network and ms will never make any money off GOD because of one simple reason - they think we're daft cunts and reckon we'll buy their 24 month+ old games for more than double what theyre worth. even if i had my legs chopped off and had noone to grab me a game from the outside world, i would NEVER give in and buy a product at such a ridiculous price
