Chapter bundles slightly higher.

Sony has released Siren: Blood Curse on PlayStation Network but the price of the individual three-episode bundles has gone up by two quid.

We were originally informed that the 12-episode game would be sold in four discrete three-episode bundles at GBP 4.99 apiece, but that's now gone up to GBP 6.99 for each one.

However, the full 12-episode game is on sale for GBP 19.99 as originally stated.

Sony's latest stab at survival horror is a bit of a series reboot, borrowing heavily from the almost-great PS2 original and fixing a lot of its problems in the process.

In light of the last-minute price-hike on individual episodes, we'll be adding an update to our review of the first three-episode bundle, which originally scored 9/10.

Fortunately though, the price change won't impact our review of the full game, which is published today. Check it out.

Hmmm, �5.99 might have been a better price per chapter rather than �6.99 but it's better to buy the whole game for �19.99 IMO. If you're unsure about whether you'll like the game you can download and try a FREE demo anyway so there's really no need to purchase the game in chunks at a higher cost.

Setting up an alternate account is easy but why should you have to do it? There is no reason that many of the PSN games lack a demo, it needs to be sorted out rather than defended by individuals. Sony have the ability to make life easier for European consumers, yet they choose not to.

I only tried the Jap demo, but naturally, I didn't understand shit.

I'll give the US demo a try when I get home. Looks pretty good.

Well, yes, you are absolutely right about that. SCEE need shooting for giving us such an inferior PSN service for what seems to be no good reason whatsoever. Arses.

If you are genuinely interested in this game, it's definately worth sorting the US account out as it takes very little time to do. It is annoying that we have to do that though.

Edit: I wasn't defending it, I was saying it purely in reference to this game, that's all.

interesting that the price affects reviews, so the review isn't based on quality of product but price point. i can think of other games that should get worse scores because of their price point. is this always taken into account?
