SingStar update delayed till next week News

So much for the SingStar update that was supposed to go live yesterday - it won't be available for a little while yet.
"There's been a slight delay to the online update which is due to bring you lots of great new features," Sony told Eurogamer this morning.
"We promise it will be worth the wait and it will be with you early next week!"
Update 3.01 will introduce voice controls and Trophies to SingStar PS3. Update 4.01, due to be released later in the year, will cause the microphones to act like the breathalyzers they put in drunk drivers' cars, preventing intoxicated people from shaming themselves into oblivion. In our dreams.

Singstar is only disliked by those who have not played it drunk with 2+ friends, so it's obvious you'd find those types lurking around comment threads.
When you wake up next morning and discover you'd drunkenly purchased Natalie Imbruglia - Torn and the Queen pack on the DLC store in the heat of the moment, you know the game did its job. |

Personal Jesus In Your Room... These things are needed. These days I put a £5 limit per session otherwise whoever is visiting that night will blow all my money on downloads. It's so easy to get carried away! I've found it very hard to predict what songs will be fun to warble. Some things that seem like natural choices aren't much good, while others really shine. Weird. |

Yeah, I put my copies in yesterday and was surprised when there were no trophy updates.
Haven't played any in a while, so this might be a good excuse to break out some lagers and the mics. |

We did enjoy Singstar quite a bit at parties once. Then along came Rock Band and *poof*! Singstar was not so great no more! Sure, it's great to have the videos and such, but they have nothing on Rock Band (or GHWT I guess) since not all like to sing but can still take part.
