Remember the days when people bought flight sim games?

They ended about 15 years ago, if I recall correctly...

@Mentalist(air) - Actually I reckon the market for flight sims is about the same size - it's just a much smaller percentage of the total game sales these days. Back in the day mainly nerds bought games, and nerds like flight sims. These days your average gamer comes from all walks of life and not many of them will understand the appeal. For the rest of us there's DCS: Black Shark :P

I think Shopto need to adjust their ad settings so they don't display pre-order adverts in articles claiming the game probably won't come out.

It's always a shame to see publishers and/or developers go under, even if they're not actually very good. However, I doubt they'll get funding - these two games seem unlikely to make $10 million profit plus when they are released.

I did, however, quite enjoy Heatseeker in a brainless Top Gun sort of way. I feel that game was kinda underrated.

Got to love the fact that the article features a pre-order link for "Heroes over Europe".

Never mind Sin City the game (doubtless it would be a travesty), when is the Sin City Bluray being released?

I want Marv in high def.

(Which sounds kinda kinky, but what the hell)

Regarding Sin City: I'm a huge fan of the original books, own the movie on DVD, and concider gaming to be my primary pasttime. So I should be in the market for this game, right? But oddly, I am not interested in Sin City the game at all.... weird.

Maybe EA will save this company too? Seems unlikely...

I like the way that shopto.net were advertising MGS4 for £26.99 the other day..

..in an article discussing how it's soon to be in the £19.99 range from Sony :)

no flight sim = huge disappointment for me...however my purchase is unlikely to make much of a dent on the ten million they are requesting.that amount is enough to develop the game from scratch!

Thing about sims (especially flight sims) is that they have to be amazing, and if they are then they can last for years and years and years - look at the huge communities for stuff like IL-2, Falcon 4.0 and B-17: Flying Fortress 2. Nothing has yet bested either of these, and so they are still played. More importantly, they are modded by the community to fix all the niggles that devs always miss ;)
