"Everyone loves a pile of money," reckons Rod Humble, VP head of studio for The Sims division.

Actually, I don't much care that they are milking cash from this franchise. Thats what franchises are for. Otherwise it would be new IP everyday delivered with your milk.

I'm more concerned that they make a decent game, though initial examination suggests this particular outing is not for me.

er, isn't the whole point of the sims that you create your own characters and scenarios? I don't want to help Vincent Moore in his love life. I guess the women might though...Although the chances are watching an episode of Eastenders will provide a far more dynamic and exciting storyline.

It's not something I would play, but it's a fantastic idea. Kudos to them for coming up with it.

Sounds a lot like the GBA version of The Sims.

They're bringing out a console style version of the Sims for PC. I'm not sure this makes sense as those who bought the console versions usually didn't have a good enough PC to run the PC version. :/

Sounds like a good idea to me... I've long thought that you could do a more story-orientated take on the Sims, and lo and behold...

A very good idea. I'm surprised.
