Sims 3 to feature movie maker
Create your own films. Not that kind.
EA has confirmed the latest instalment in the Sims series will feature a tool for making your own movies.
You'll be able to capture footage of your Sims doing, well, whatever you've told them to. It's then a simple matter of dragging and dropping movie clips into a timeline. You can choose a soundtrack from a library of tunes and add captions, plus special effects such as blur, zoom and black and white.
Once you're happy with your movie you can upload it to social networking sites like Facebook and YouTube. Naturally there are privacy settings so you can control who gets to watch.
Eurogamer popped down to EA's office earlier this week for a play around with the new feature, and we can report it's lots of fun. If you've ever used Windows Movie Maker you'll be right at home. It took us just minutes to make an epic movie blockbuster about what might happen if Ian 'H' Watkins took Myleene Klass on a picnic and forgot to bring any Mini Cheddars. By the way, happy Friday.
The Sims 3 will be released for PC and Mac on 5th June.
