Whats wrong with creating a realistic city (as per the other games) but in full 3D? why have they gone and tried to add character where character wasn't needed :(
Looks like a Wii game now, if only it could all look like screenshot 7 and drop the silly flamboyant buildings and cartoon characters.

They felt that Sim City 4 was as realistic as you could get, what more was there to add but subtle changes. Things that the modding community was already doing anyway.
So they decided to go in a different direction. Less of a city planner, and more of a social experiment.
