Sigma Special Edition iffy for Europe
Currently no plans for it.
A Ninja Gaiden Sigma Special Edition pack that popped up overnight sounds jolly nice, but don't get your hopes up about seeing it here. Eidos recently signed up the game, and a spokesperson told Eurogamer this afternoon that "there are currently no plans for a Ninja Gaiden Special Edition two-disc box set in the UK".
It was speaking in the aftermath of a listing that appeared on American retailer Gamestop, which showed a fancy collector's edition for sale. This includes behind-the-scenes footage, high-res box art, and special codes to unlock Ryu and Rachael missions. It's on sale for a meagre USD 69.99.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma is a polished-up version of the classic title that appeared on the original Xbox, and claims to add a wealth of new content. Top among them is the new playable character, Rachel, who'll feature the trademark bouncy bits that we've come to expect from Team Ninja.
Head over to our Ninja Gaiden Xbox review to find out why we're so excited.

EG, can you ask SCEE again about those, since it's been a month, and all?

@bunglebonce - i would guess the reason the SE will be on 2 discs is because they are also doing a normal version (ie. disc 1 will be same for both versions, disc 2 will contain extra content). Lower production costs.

Surely a single blue-ray can hold anything they want to put on there.
@JediMasterMalik
I'm going by the HD video stuff on game-trailers and it looks about the same as the XBox Black version but, maybe a bit brighter. Not sure what they are supposed to have re-done as it all looked too familiar. Don't get me wrong, if you never played the black version on xbox, then the PS3 version really is a must. I'm just not convinced it's going to be different enough for someone like me who has played both of the old versions. It's not like they changed the story or anything.
Hopefully you get what I mean.

If you think that Sigma only looks brighter you must be blind.

I love them, but each to their own I suppose
I thought the original was a pile of awful.
Yet another reason to not buy a PS3 until FFXIII

And for anyone with HD TVs whos a fan and likes playing the game over this is also a must as going back to SD games on a large HD TV once your used to playing games in 720p can be crindgworthy

Using Ninja Gaiden sigma as a reason not to buy a PS3, is just weak trolling.... pitifully weak.
