SFIV PC dated, Resident Evil 5 to follow News

PC News by Tom Bramwell

5 May, 2009

Capcom has dated the PC version of Street Fighter IV and said beige-box versions of Bionic Commando and Resident Evil 5 will follow.

As revealed last week, SFIV for PC uses Games for Windows Live and features new shaders. It's due out on 3rd July in Europe.

Bionic Commando will also arrive in July, with DirectX 9 and 10 support, online options, higher resolutions and remappable controls. The 360 and PS3 versions are due out a little earlier on 22nd May as previously announced.

Then there's Resident Evil 5, due "later in the year" (Capcom Unity says autumn). It's got online co-operative play and "new PC-specific features", and will be available at retail and online.

What's more, it will also support NVIDIA's GeForce 3D Vision technology with spangly glasses. As the Capcom blog puts it, "Majini in your face! Sheva on your lap!"

Whoah.

Well, after RE4, I guess they feel the need to point that out.

After playing the ps3 demo the controls felt so shite compared to RE4 wii edition I wouldnt have considered buying it. Hopefully the PC controls will be a big improvement

Capcom, have hugely improved their PC offerings since the mess that was Resi Evil 4, so I hope RE5 is given the same extra care and attention that they gave to games like Lost Planet and Devil May Cry.

Do it Capcom, and I'll buy it! (You've already got my purchase for SFIV, no matter how it turns out.)
