SFIV for Xbox Live GOD in Europe soon

March digital release for Capcom fighter.

Street Fighter IV will be released through Xbox Live's Games on Demand service in Europe next week.

Capcom's 10/10-rated beat-'em-up epic will be released on 2nd March, presumably for the usual £19.99 price. It's already available in the US.

Speaking of the US, Bethesda's Fallout 3 will also appear on Xbox Live GOD on 2nd March in North America and Asia.

The news comes courtesy of an Xbox Live March release schedule on Major Nelson's blog.

The post also reveals deals of the week on Gears of War armour and a Call of Duty: World at War map pack bundle.

Now this is a good game to just have sitting on the HDD, ready to jump into.

yeah great addition but with super sf iv coming soon and this one becoming the obsolete inferior version, you'd want it to be no more than a tenner.

Never in my wildest dreams would I use the digital download shop on Live, not whilst they continue to charge silly money for old games.

They're building a decent catalogue to be fair, when (if) they start doing deals on these rather than obscure DLC (sometimes) it will make the platform quite interesting.

Even if you get your points cheaper than RRP for, say, £14.95 for 2100 points, this will still end up costing you over £17.

    (1495/2100)*2400

    :/

If it wasn't for SSFIV, I'd consider it. If I didn't have the disc version of Burnout Paradise, I'd prefer that sitting on my HDD even at a higher cost than the disc. Its great just having a game sat there ready to launch. One reason I played Warhawk so much, it was always there sitting on the XMB tempting me to play.

I'm sorry, Microsoft. It's just a baffling and indefensible price point.

I want to give you my money, but you make it an unappealing proposition. Until we are looking at something around £10, I would rather spend my money elsewhere.

@Retroid can you buy GoD games with points anyway? I thought they were priced in local currency?
  • ZuluHero #9 2 years ago

Now if they can just release new games at the same time on GOD for that price point...

Hmm. Isn't Super Street Fighter IV going to retail at 25-30 pounds? Not sure about this for 20. 10 pounds and it's a done deal!

Can we please for the love of whatever you love move on from "it costs more money than some places", it has been done every week. I think most people are aware it costs money.

You can't blame people for mentioning it really. Even a wander into your local gamestation will let you find most these games for half the price there going for on the GOD service. Obviously they don't want to upset retailers by undercutting them, but it's still daft! The insane price of the larger HD's for the 360 don't exactly help matters either!

Pure and Grid I bought - simply because I couldn't be arsed to get up and change discs. Bring SF III HD - that be worth the price!
