Capcom has revealed a Championship mode for Street Fighter IV, which will be available for PS3 and Xbox 360 next Friday 24th April.
This new feature lets players compete in five grades of tournaments, earning Grade Points for victories that open more exclusive competitions down the line.
Win a tournament and you will receive Championship Points. These are a kind of prize money, and the greater the skill-level of the tournament, the more points will be won. Capcom has not said what Championship Points will be used for.
Championship mode also introduces a Replay function. On PSN, bouts can be rated using values like "awesome" or "funny", and will be ranked accordingly. On Xbox Live there are no ratings; instead, players can save the replays and turn on the input commands to see the exact moves used.

Am I the only one that can't get online to work? Every challenger has 0 bars in their ping thing and I can't get a game. Sounds like a NAT issue but I can't find anything on Google about this problem.
Been beating the single player on hardest over and over to practise until it works :-P |

@designerheadache Haha that's slightly easier to handle if you switch the music and voices over to Japanese, somehow sounds a bit less cheesy. Been re-watching all the animés recently, forgot how good they were.

I know what you mean, I turned a match round with barely any health in a time attack the other day by letting rip some 20 something hit combo and I thought "I wish I could have saved that"!

Haha. I'm lovin the enthusiasm of the SF crowd. Good laugh.
Well, I really have no idea when I can organise a tourney... I have my final exams over the next 2 weeks, so it wont be until then that I am active. I'll be sure to stick a thread up in the EG forums. 'SF4 EG' eh? I'll be sure to do that, how exactly does it work? Also, @ videogangs- try a custom search as well, and select 'stabilty' as a search priority. Go! |
