SEGA gets stars playing tennis
Like Sonic and friends, obviously.
SEGA has whisked the cover off its new Superstars Tennis game for PS3, 360, PS2, Wii and DS.
Like Mario Tennis, it compiles all the familiar characters together in one sports package, where each will play differently and have their own special moves.
So you have the likes of Sonic, Monkey Ball ape AiAi, Space Channel 5 star Ulala and Amigo from Samba De Amigo all whacking balls at each other.
Every version will have exhibition and tournament modes - played at themed venues corresponding to each character - as well as platform-specific events. The PS3 and 360 will support online, for example.
SEGA Superstars Tennis is due out on all platforms in early 2008.
Pop over to our SEGA Superstars Tennis gallery to see how nice and colourful it looks.

Outside of Mario, Luigi, Zelda and Metroid, I don't know any of the Nintendo characters. Yet I know all of the SEGA characters. That doesn't mean either are well known or not, it just means you yourself don't know them.
Edit:
@ Cauldie.
Are you saying that in a bad way, or good way ?

Please don't fuck this up Sega.
BTW, if you're a Sega fan of old (and have some 15 minutes to burn) you owe it to yourself to check this out.

Don't the Wii developers realize that party games benefit the most from being online?
Apart from that it could be great, but all Wii owners already have a good tennis game so a bit more effort would be appreciated.
