Tri-Ace RPG here end of March.

SEGA's dated Resonance of Fate (once End of Eternity) for 26th March in Europe.

This is the PS3 and Xbox 360 role-playing game being made by Star Ocean: The Last Hope developer tri-Ace.

Eye-catching features are a Steampunk world and semi-real-time gunfights with an in-built chain attack system.

The story's based around a tower-like Basel structure that is now the only place mankind can survive. You, as heroes Vashyron, Zephyr and Leanne, will gradually uncover the secrets of the world.

There will be plenty of customisation both for characters and their weapons, too.

Does anyone else think this all feels abit rushed? Star Ocean 4 was in development for longer then this and it wasn't exactly perfect then. I'll be waiting for reviews on this one...

Demon's Souls was in development for about two years. 3D Dot Game Heroes not even a year. Length of development cycle is no guarantee of quality.

I'm hoping Resonance of Fate turns out to be the game the new Final Fantasy didn't. I've been looking forward to something Japanese that's on a par with Lost Odyssey (But not as depressing).

I'm done with JRPG's as a whole. The last one I really enjoyed was LO, after that it's been nothing but shit or been there done that. They just take waaaay too fucking long to get interesting most of the time. Even FFXIII doesn't really interest me, maybe when it drops to 30 or so.

The demo for this at least had some action.

Oh good lord. As if there weren't already enough games of interest being released in Q1 and Q2. Reading uiruki's comment about Resonance of Fate being developed by team Valkyrie Profile gives me hope that it won't be another tri-Ace disappointment.
