SEGA dates House of the Dead: Overkill News

Wii News by Robert Purchese

16 January, 2009

SEGA has decided to release spooky Wii shooter House of the Dead: Overkill on spooky day Friday 13th February.

You may have noticed Eurogamer TV pay developer Headstrong a visit recently and learn ever such a lot about this on-rails blaster.

"I am enthused. Intentional cheesiness, extreme violence," observed Eurogamer reader Oh-Bollox upon watching the video.

SEGA also whisked out dates for SEGA Mega Drive Collection 2 for PS3, and Bleach: Dark Souls on DS. The former will arrive on 20th February, while the latter waits until 13th March for release.

Why isn't the Sega Mega Drive collection a PSN/XBLA download?? It seems like an ideal choice...

Its also for the 360. Its over 40 games so it would have been 40 xbla/PSN releases. Getting them all on the same disc is a much better deal. The game isnt a full price release either.

How about a decent version for the PS3 using the light gun? There's nothing like a good bit of cathartic shooting to end the day on a high note.

I hope we'll get the "Bang Bang boxset" that Australia are getting (which includes two guns).

Now, when is the revamped Pinball of the Dead for Wii coming out? I'll settle for a series of WiiWare releases based upon the different GBA tables.

World Famous Bollox!

Overkill looks like the kind of brainless fun we've come to expect from HotD. Good I say.
