Warner Bros. has confirmed to Eurogamer that Scribblenauts won't be released in the UK until 9th October. The US will be able to buy the game a couple of weeks earlier, from 15th September.
This has apparently been common knowledge for a couple of weeks, but we thought we'd tell you anyway because we hadn't not noticed the change.
Scribblenauts is the wonderful DS game that lets you spell out and conjure almost anything to overcome a problem.

I heard a lot of pirates saying they were actually going to buy this because it was so awesome. I doubt half of those people will buy the game now.

I really hope the delay in release dates doesn't effect its sales due to piracy. This is a fairly big risk for the DS, a brand new IP from a western developer/publisher, whom in general tend to avoid the DS. Just Remember the more you pirate the games you like, the less likely the games you like will be made. Or some shit like that. ^_^

Edge tore into it during last months preview for the controls being terrible. Im hoping the delay is so they can sort out some sort of D-Pad + Stylus scheme and make sure it plays great. If now, its still gonna be a great "What if x and x had a fight" simulator.

Wow. That'll not end up on R4s at all... Seriously, cut the crap now, games companies - give the UK/AUS/NZ the US relesases and do other languages separately. Delays like this just lead to imports, and that hurts the numbers.
