Sam & Max head to Wii News

Wii News by Robert Purchese

14 January, 2008

JoWooD Germany has unveiled plans to release a Sam & Max adventure for Wii.

Its ambitions were aired in a press release confirming Agatha Christie: And Then There Were None for the console. Apparently the canine and rabbit duo are also set to make an appearance, though exactly when is unclear.

Unfortunately JoWooD UK was reluctant to confirm the news. Perhaps someone has jumped the gun.

Sam & Max: Season One was well received on PC last year, and two episodes of the second series are already out.

Pop over to our Sam & Max: Season One gamepage for our thoughts.

Hmm. Here's hoping it's not just Season One strung back to back.

Hmm. Here's hoping it is season one in a box, because the chances of it being anything other than repacks of what's already out are soooo slim that I suspect our options are a few eps, one ep (Wii Software), or the entire season.

I just bought season one on the PC so I'd like to see something original (even if it's just added content) for the Wii.

More adventure games for the Wii pleeeease!!! : )

maybe they'll release it for download, just like PC...I missed the PC one, so I am more than happy to grab it on console. I's prefer it on xbox though, just because it would save me swapping my TV inputs around.

The episodes are too big to be ever released as downloads for the Wii. I'm pretty sure they even break the current size limits for Live Arcade.

It's retail or nothing, I'm afraid. I got these through Steam, I absolutely love them.

Here's hoping it is, as that's exactly why I've been holding off buying the PC version.

JoWooD? Developers of the worlds most buggy adventure games? *gulp* hopefully they won't find a way to stuff up a port of a point'n'click!

Oh cool! Bring anything like that to Wii. Hopefully this will be downloadable directly from the Shopping Channel.
